Adopted Animals
Here are some of the animals which we have successfully rehomed and are enjoying their new homes.
Rosie and Jim were kept without heating in a very small bare tank. They now have a wonderful home at a specialist college for vulnerable students, and are part of a calming and therapeutic environment.
Mera was dumped with Orm (see adoption page) outside a property, now in a loving family home
Ruby and Rocket needed a new home due to no fault of their own. They are now in the care of a loving family.
Eddie was without UV for some time previously and had a cyst on her back which was removed. She has since been rehomed to an experienced carer after a successful full recovery.
Choco came in as a lonely guinea pig but is now enjoying spending time with his new buddy
Ghost needed a new home due to no fault of his own and is now in the same home as Ruby and Rocket
Nutmeg needed a home due to no fault of her own and is now being spoilt with her new carers.
Captain Prickles found wandering the streets in Newport but is now enjoying life in his new home.
Hazel needed a new home due to no fault of her own. She is now in a long term foster home.
This little budgie, Teasel, was found wandering the streets of Cardiff. Sadly his owners could not be found however he has since found a new family with other feathered friends.
Bailey needed a new home due to no fault of his own and has been rehomed with another guinea pig.
A family of albino gerbils (7 in total!) came to us due to no fault of their own. Males and females were seperated to prevent further breeding and all have found their forever homes.
We took on this bearded dragon, Hercules, and another, Lady, who were co-habiting with another male causing conflict between them. Hercules has been rehomed and is now much happier living on his own. Lady is still looking for her forever home.
To the surprise of residents in the Vale of Glamorgan, this cheeky ringneck parakeet was found in a garden and taken to local vets who passed her on to us for care and to find her owners. Soon after she was happily reunited with her family.
A young family of stunning mice came to us due to no fault of their own and all have found their forever homes.
Pandora came to us due to no fault of her own. She had health concerns which swiftly resolved and is now enjoying spending time with her new family.
Ash came to us looking for a new home and is now enjoying life with his new family.
We took Joe and Winston into out care as the owner was going to put them to sleep for various reasons. As there were no health issues they have been rehomed to a caring family and are enjoying their retirement.
Spike was very much loved by his previous owners but change of circumstances meant he came to us. He has since settled into a new home with another family who treat him like the fabulous king he is.
Ruby was being given away having been passed from one family to another and we were approached to help out. Riddled with fleas we treated her and found a forever home with a family member of the Sanctuary.
